The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Geotechnical, Environmental, Building Inpection, and Construction Services Department within a branch office. The manager maximizes long and short term profits for an entire branch office including the Environmental Services, Geotechnical, Testing Lab & Construction Services Departments. The person needs to be reliable (responsibilities, tardiness, etc.) and have a good work ethic. They need to be able to cooperate with co-workers and clients and they also should be able to listen, understand and follow instructions. They must show respect for company property.


Maximizes long and short term profits for Environmental Services, Geotechnical, Testing Lab &

Construction Services Department.

Performs marketing and coordinates marketing department; meets with and solicits business from clients

Supervises, hires, fires and evaluates employees.

Quotes costs and fees to clients; prepares proposals and reports

Coordinates personnel and equipment within the branch

Follows and enforces safety procedures

Ensures progress in personnel development

Other duties may be assigned


Manages 5-50(depending on size of branch office) employees, such as the Department Managers, Supervisors, Field Technicians, Lab Technicians, Drillers, Inspectors, and Administrative Personnel. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from four-year college or university. At least five years related professional experience.
