POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chanel management team focuses on three primary areas of Image, Service and Leadership in their roles, alongside business responsibilities.  Within the team, the Boutique Manager is a Chanel brand ambassador who keeps brand image and standards in mind as a constant priority.  S/he also helps to drive the company standard of the Ultimate Luxury Experience for all clients.  The Boutique Manager supports the Boutique Director in maximizing overall boutique sales volume and profitability through owning a business segment/share of the business volume.  S/he also oversees team development and compliance with operating standards and procedures. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Image

  • Act as a role model for company’s “floor-ready” expectations in terms of dress code and behave as a brand ambassador to all audiences
  • Enforce “floor-ready” guidelines amongst team in a reasonable, constructive and respectful manner
  • Set standard for brand image by partnering with Visual team on boutique visual needs and support initiatives by ensuring space is kept in line with visual direction on a daily basis 

Service

  • Maintain floor coverage to support team in providing a superior Chanel Experience for clients. Set an example through client interactions and ensure a welcoming environment exists on the floor.  Be aware of Fashion Advisor behavior to ensure standards are being met
  • Address and successfully resolve client situations according to company philosophy and standards.  Partner with Boutique Director and corporate teams to resolve as needed
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of all company product and technical information. Work with internal partners on how to best deliver this information to the team 

Leadership

  • Develop and lead team to ensure consistent achievement of company standards.  Assume oversight for whole boutique in absence of a Director
  • Proactively address and resolve employee issues in a professional manner and in accordance with Chanel standards, policies and procedures; partner with Director and/or HR as needed
  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the company culture, values, and mission
  • Foster a positive working environment that encourages diversity, mutual respect and teamwork and is free of discrimination and harassment 

Business

  • Works in junction with Director and internal teams to develop business goals and translate into team action plan
  • Identify strategies to retain and develop high-potential and top clients.  Develop action plans for team members to drive these initiatives
  • Partner with Boutique to routinely monitor achievement of boutique performance goals and continually make necessary course corrections
  • Work in conjunction with Director to manage daily store operations
  • Manage and drive appropriate stock levels for assigned departments to maximize full price sales and sell through
  • Complete EOM Report monthly recapping merchandise performance and business trends

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; degree in management, hospitality or fashion-related field a plus

Minimum Years of Experience:  Minimum of 3 years of prior retail management experience a must.  Must have experience with operations, merchandising, sales and stock activities
