System Engineering support of the development and integration of UAI Type II Bomb Carriage Units (BRUs) with the Small Diameter Bombs with threshold and objective DoN and USAF aircraft.
Provide system engineering support, leadership and recommendations to the UAI Type II Bomb Carriage Units and Small Diameter Bomb (SDBII) Program Managers and Lead Engineers for threshold and objective Department of Navy (DoN) and United States Air force (USAF) aircraft integration efforts.
Responsible for supporting all aspects of the DoN Systems Engineering Technical Review Process.
Responsible for the development of bomb rack specifications and verifying traceability.
Responsible for supporting DoN EDRAP process and Government TAE interaction.
Responsible for determination of contractor compliance to requirements.
Responsible for assessing qualification testing and contractor performance to test objectives.
Responsible for reviewing test reports for sufficiency.
Responsible for developing ECPs and supporting the ECP review and boarding of changes on behalf of the DoN.
Some travel is required. Requirements Required: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Engineering Bachelor's degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) plus four to eight years of experience.
Knowledge of NAVAIR Instruction 4355.19 Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and documents.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-8591 AIRBORNE STORES, SUSPENSION EQUIPMENT AND AIRCRAFT-STORE INTERFACE (CARRIAGE PHASE) and system qualification testing.
Knowledge of DoD 5000 Series Acquisition process and documents.
Knowledge of DoD Airworthiness certification and support process.
Previous experience in aircraft and store integration programs.
Working knowledge of Universal Armament Interface (UAI) interface requirements, development and certification process.
Experience with MIL-STD-1760 interface physical, electrical and logical requirements.
Working knowledge/expertise in the risk management process
Experience with val/ver of system / subsystems.
