Job Title: Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTi) - Assistant Vice President - Data Engineering & Visualization
Job Responsibilities:- Full-stack design, development, and operation of core data stack including data lake, data warehouse, and data pipelines, ultimately facilitating data visualizations for data scientists and analysts across the firm and its portfolio companies.
- Build data flows for data acquisition, aggregation, and modeling, using both batch and streaming paradigms.
- Consolidate/join datasets to create easily consumable, consistent, holistic information.
- Design and implement machine learning models and prediction APIs, and ensure their operational performance over time.
- Empower data scientists and data analysts to be as self-sufficient as possible by building core systems and developing reusable library code.
- Use programming languages such as Python and SQL, as well as AWS Cloud Services, Snowflake data warehouses, and Airflow for workflow orchestration, as well as Tableau for data visualization.
- Support and optimize desktop and cloud environments for data scientists and data analysts.
- Make best-use of cloud native tools such as Vagrant and Docker as part of Blackstone's development environment.
- Ensure efficiency, quality, resiliency of data science core systems.
- Work with senior technical staff throughout Blackstone's portfolio companies to develop data flows.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:Education- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Professional Studies, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience- Minimum 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations
- Minimum 2 years experience as financial data engineer
- Minimum 2 years experience in cloud techniques like AWS, Azure, Airflow
- Minimum 2 years experience in big data, data science, data analysis, using Microsoft Excel.
- Any amount of experience analyzing complex data sets
- Any amount of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python).
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:$125,000 - $185,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
