Under minimal supervision performs routine and intermediate advanced statistical analysis. Provides information to principal investigator(s), clients, management, and regulatory agencies. Prepares analysis plans and writes detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures; communicates with clients regarding statistical analysis issues. Interprets analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports. Manages Biostatistician I and II employees. This position does not perform any direct bench or clinical (patient) research.
Education: PhD or Master’s Degree in Biostatistics or Statistics. PhD preferred.
Experience: Typically five to eight years of experience in Biostatistics/Statistics or in a related area. PhD with 2+ years experience or Master’s Degree with 4+ years experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strongly proficiency in SAS and R. Ability to programmatically restructure databases to facilitate analyses. Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to summarize detailed information in an organized, concise manner. Ability to work with others as a team member. Knowledgeable of advanced biostatistical concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Certificate/License/Registration: SAS Certification preferred. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment
