Job Description

Biologist
Experience – 10 to 15 years
• Blunt-nosed leopard lizard, Tipton kangaroo rat, San Joaquin antelope squirrel and San Joaquin kit fox experience preferred.
• GIS experience preferred.
• Experience working on linear projects preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Manage biological communications and deliverables under the Federal Endangered Species Act Permitting (Biological Opinion), California Endangered Species Act Permitting (Incidental Take Permit 2081)
• Manage waters communications and deliverables under the Master Streambed Alteration Agreement (MSAA) (Section 1602), Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification, Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit
• Review design and construction plans for consistency with permits and review and process amendments as required
• Review preconstruction surveys, protocol surveys, monitoring, plans, species relocation, monthly/ annual compliance reporting, jurisdictional delineations, and construction notifications
• Assist with preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation
• Perform species-specific trainings
• Perform field audits and assist with managing field staff
• Assess and resolve compliance concerns
• Assist in performing construction schedule analyses
