Description

BIM Manager (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; Chicago, IL): Provide BIM (Building Information Modeling) implementation, project onboarding, and ongoing training on BIM standards and workflows. Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent BIM practices across all phases of design, construction, and handover for infrastructure engineering projects. Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM into project workflows by developing and maintaining BIM standards, templates, and libraries. Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve clashes and ensure seamless collaboration. Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate BIM models for Navy infrastructure project. Review BIM models to ensure quality control and assurance, and cohesion in accordance with firm and Navy-specific requirements and regulations. Implement quality control procedures to validate data consistency managing data exchange between different BIM software platforms. Ensure interoperability between different BIM software and file formats supporting interdisciplinary BIM standards across various projects. Provide training to project team members on BIM software and workflows. Support risk management activities to mitigate risks related to BIM implementation and facilitate project cost estimating by extracting quantities from design models. Represent the architectural and/or engineering practice needs via active participation in coordination meetings and with government agencies. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). Salary range is $76,482 - $101,400 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location. Bonus: Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus #LI-DNI #GTM

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: 3D and 4D modeling and content creation across various disciplines including Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing; Using BIM software including Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Forma, and Navisworks on infrastructure projects; Utilizing Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud for model coordination and clash detection; Construction sequencing and scheduling methodologies for 4D BIM and construction planning; Extracting quantity schedules and data from BIM platforms to facilitate cost estimating processes; Scripting using AI-powered tools including ChatGPT or Dynamo to streamline BIM workflows; Creating phase models from Reality Capture data or historical drawings; and Data management and integration with BIM platforms, including experience with databases, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies for immersive BIM visualization.
