Job Summary
The Travelers Billing IT organization is a high-performing enterprise-wide technology area that is focused on strategic application development to enable business products throughout the company. We are looking for a self-motivated, information technology professional to join the team. This individual will be accountable for the QA discipline on the Agile Release Train as well as Release Management and Dev Ops. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Direction of all QA, Dev Ops, and Release Management resources on the train
  • Orchestration of testing across the enterprise for Billing implementations
  • Future vision and planning to address stated goals of the train (TDM, CI/CD, Automated testing, etc).

Works closely with key stakeholders to build relationships and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Influences technical direction of projects and system support. Provides talent management to team members. This job is a Manager: Responsible for setting work objectives and goals for employees and managing their performance. Typically involved in compensation decisions. Employees have a formal reporting relationship to this job. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Directs assigned staff to implement and/or maintain systems of medium to high complexity and/or assigned project(s). Manages to the tactical and operational plan and budget for assigned information systems and/or projects of business unit significance. Provides input to the Senior management team on the development of the operational plan. Advocates the use of technology to develop and/or redesign the organization’s processes. Understands cost benefit analysis as the key driver for enhancement and/or project prioritization. Has awareness of Enterprise strategies and impact on the line of business or functional area of responsibility. Provides key project stakeholders and IT leadership with timely status updates and/or system performance updates. Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned projects and/or enhancements. Accountable for directing team to achieve deliverables. Manages team direction and the day-to-day work of direct reports. Responsible for providing consistent performance feedback/coaching and completing formal performance reviews. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of technology or business related experiencerequired.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 7 years of technology or business related experiencepreferred.
  • 2 years of experience managing others preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple lines of business
  • Experience working closely with an offshore team
  • Experience managing QA in a large portfolio or train
  • Prior Dev Ops experience a plus
  • Experience managing/ coordinating testing with multiple external groups (internal, vendor, offshore, business)
  • QA exposure, understands:
    • Different testing types (functional, integrated, end-to-end, cycle testing, etc.)
    • Automated testing techniques
    • Bonus: TDM
  • Experience in Quality Center, Rally a plus
  • Agile Experience, SAFe experience a plus
  • CI/ CD knowledge a plus
