Bilingual Project Planner and Controller, Major Projects at Stantec in Montreal, QC

Your main responsibilities:

• Responsible for optimizing the scheduling of project activities in order to facilitate its implementation and progress;
• Work in close collaboration with the financial controller;
• Propose, develop and implement strategies and control methods for projects;
• Perform various analyzes and recommend directions in their sector;
• Carry out the planning, monitoring, control and closure of the project;
• Revise the planning and make the necessary corrections to the control activities under his responsibility, following changes in the scope of projects;
• Ensure the production of reports, indicators and other monitoring and control elements;
• Assist and advise lot managers in the control of their project activities;
• Responsible for reporting and monitoring commitments for the projects to which he is assigned;
• Monitor and ensure the application of the STM Control Plan, for the sake of corporate consistency in project control;
• Act as a consultant, maintains his knowledge and is involved in the maintenance and development of standards, applications and systems available in his specialty;
• Exercise functional governance over professional and administrative / technical staff;
• Autonomously carry out normal professional tasks;
• Assume all tasks and responsibilities inherent in his function or that may be entrusted to him.

Your experience :

• Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or in an appropriate discipline;
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Fluency in spoken and written French;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel;
• Mastery of planning tools such as Primavera (P6) (an asset);
• PMP certification or equivalent is an asset;
• Ability to evolve within large complex projects and to adapt to new situations and changes.
