Human Resources Manager- Schulenburg, Texas   

Monogram Food Solutions, a privately held manufacturer and marketer of corn dogs, beef & bacon jerky, hot dogs, sausages, pet treats, and frozen appetizers, is looking for a Human Resources Manager for our plant in Schulenburg TX plant. Monogram Food Solutions recognizes its team members are key contributors to its mission of growing profitably in the valued added meats and appetizers sector. Our role of Human Resources Manager is based at our Schulenburg TX location. In this position, you will play a critical role in providing a wide level of services to the organization including staffing, internal communications, benefit administration, safety, training, payroll administration and overall team member relations.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant Human Resources experience, in a manufacturing environment. Food processing industry experience is desired
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills/Bilingual.
  • Strong multi-tasking and presentation skills to various levels of management
  • High energy with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • PHR and/or SPHR is a plus 

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Oversee the hourly staffing, recruitment and retention activities to match job requirement needs with the appropriate skills, knowledge, abilities and experience, and provide orientation and development training
  • Support Safety functions, including trainings, tool box topics, communications, audits and inspections, recordkeeping, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and corporate requirements
  • Assist the recruitment applicant pool selection by maintaining liaisons with schools, organizations and associations
  • Manage the temp to hire and temporary worker process, including sourcing, training and evaluations
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to employees, supervisors and management
  • Collaboration on developing and training to local company policies and practices
  • Coordinate employee relations activities
  • Development of an employee-oriented Company culture that emphasizes Quality, Safety, Continuous Improvement and high performance
  • Coordinate employee benefit related issues and questions
  • Partner with management to resolve employee relations issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate
  • Implement, administer and interpret corporate policies, programs and procedures
  • Manage HR operations; including benefits, payroll related matters, facilities, etc.
  • Build relationships with staff at all levels; assure that new recruits integrate effectively into the organization by delivering a high quality on-boarding program
  • Develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; assess training effectiveness through evaluations
  • Support the year-end compensation review to ensure consistent and fair decisions are made in regards to promotion, bonus and salary increase
  • Manage overall headcount and staffing plans
