Position Summary

Reports to the Central HR Senior Director, Benefits. Works with the Senior Director in the design of health and welfare strategies for programs sponsored by the entities of The JHHSC controlled group. Responsible for the implementation and administration of the health and welfare programs. Manages the benefits staff. Establishes and maintains business partnerships with benefits vendors.

Competencies

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resources/Health Care Management or related field required.

Knowledge:

Requirements include a working knowledge of Health and welfare benefits programs.

Skills:

Requirements include:

Goal oriented and action focused

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with multiple business partners

Ability to plan, organize, direct, implement, and evaluate processes

Ability to build teamwork and foster cohesion

Ability to meet multiple project deadlines

Required Licensure Certification:

PHR, CEBS, or other benefits related certification preferred.

Work Experience:

Requirements include: Minimum seven years of benefits experience. Minimum five years of experience managing benefits programs and a minimum five years of experience managing staff.
