Position Description:

Title: Defined Benefit Specialist 1

Location: Enfield, CT


? Review and interpret plan documents.

? Review multiple pieces of information and make a determination of next steps.

? Handle multiple tasks; work a task queue effectively while maintaining all service standards and ensuring follow up on outstanding items.

? Communicate effectively with clients and coordinate communication to participants for missing or unclear information.

? Communicate complex benefit calculations in layman''s terms to either internal or external parties.

? Understand all regulatory items that affect a participant''s calculation.

?Responsible for calculating automated and manual benefit calculations and submit for quality review.

? Involved in plan amendment process, compliance and regulatory changes and transition of new plans from New Business to ongoing operations.


? Extreme Attention to Detail

? Ability to analyze data efficiently

? Intermediate user of Excel with knowledge of Pivot Table and V Lookup Functions


? College DegreePreferred with Math, Accounting or Finance Major

Minimum DegreeRequired:
