Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Director, the Behavioral Health Operations Coordinator coordinates the overall daily operations of the Behavioral Health services including supervisory functions, cost efficiencies and effectiveness as well as implementation of administrative best practices. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supervisory oversight of all Behavioral Health administrative staff to improve our timely billing, and cost effective/efficiency practices on BH in addition to all administrative functions for the BH administration; Responsible for timely inpatient billing services and payroll; Assists in developing standards for data analysis regarding Press Ganey, UBH Bridge Program and Pay for Performance standards as well as implementing change to meet these goals; Manages all fiscal impact on BH including inpatient and consult billing, payroll, data collection and analysis and management of overtime; Supervises, hires, and trains all BH unit secretarial staff; Works in collaboration with the Rehab and Psychiatric management team including the clinical nurse managers, medical director and other multi-disciplinary staff members to improve communication and facilitate cost effectiveness of all programs including supplier transportation costs and employee overtime; Works with other hospital departments/services to ensure that the staff has needed resources to perform functions effectively and efficiently; The Operations Coordinator's administrative tasks include managing BH capital expenditure requests, unit work order creation and completion, medical bed placements, facilitation of signed admission orders, tracking staff attendance per per diem/float guidelines. Schedules/manages the Administrative Directors appointments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services preferred.
Five years of relevant experience in a Psychiatric Healthcare setting is required; Medical practice or Community Health Center experience is required.
