This work entails all aspects of the design and development of BAW filter product for a wide spectrum of applications. Thus, a strong background in RF filter/multiplexer and BAW technology is expected, where challenging designs or applications based on a non-standard fab process need to be taken care of within the R&D team.
A solid understanding of the BAW fab process will have to be acquired in a rapid fashion as this person will work as an interface between the design team and process integration team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Filter synthesis and its implementation using Qorvo’s BAW technology and processes
- Duplexer and multiplexer design including linear and non-linear circuit simulations and optimization, and its implementation on substrate
- Integration of filter with other components in RF module and electromagnetic parasitic evaluation
- Investigation and implementation of advanced filtering techniques
- Continuous improvement of the design flow
- RF testing and analysis in lab environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS or PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineer or related
- 2 to 5 years industry experience in:
- Strong background in electromagnetics
- Acoustic technology in SAW and BAW and modeling
- RF modules and system level integration between Power Amplifiers (PA), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), Switches, and Filters
- Expert understanding of microwave measurements and calibration methods: S-parameters, power, efficiency, source/load pull, noise figure, linearity and intermodulation distortion
- RF test equipment including Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), probing station, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer
- Circuit and system simulation including Microwave Office (AWR) and Advanced Design System (ADS)
