Azure Infrastructure Engineer

·        Company has a growing need for an Azure Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to work in Falls Church, VA.

·        You must have intermediate to advanced Azure knowledge and experience (3+ years), especially one familiar with migrations, security and FISMA compliance in the cloud, TCP/IPnetworking in the cloud and on-premise, automation using Azure APIs, and ability to script or programming.

·        Ideally, we are looking for you to have experience working with virtual specialized teams (e.g. we would want them to be comfortable handing off sysadmin or storage requests to a sysadmin or storage engineer instead of expecting to learn and do everything themselves).

·        Experience in a large federal agency with an understanding of the ATO process is a plus.

·        Furthermore, experience with a Cloud Management Platform such as Red Hat CloudForms would be a plus.

Skills we expect day 1:

·        Advanced knowledge of the Azure platform and core Azure services, including virtual machines, block storage, Active Directory, Express Route, virtual networks, load balancers, VPN gateways, and blob storage

·        Sufficient knowledge of the Azure platform to research, design, and implement solutions using other Azure offerings

·        Experience migrating on premise workloads sourced from a variety of environments (e.g. VMware, bare metal servers, etc.) to Azure, including direct involvement in phases such as discovery, assessment, refactoring, migration, and testing

·        Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP including the usage of stateful and stateless firewalls, access control lists, packet capture and logging, network design, Subnetting, IP routing, IPSEC virtual private networks, and intrusion detection and prevention

·        Experience planning and establishing physical connectivity between on-premise networks and multiple Azure networks using on-premise networking equipment, Express Route service, and Azure networking services

The following are desired but not required:

·        Experience with FISMA compliance and NIST controls in a cloud environment

·        Experience supporting an ATO effort with system components residing in the Azure cloud

·        Experience with a Cloud Management Platform (CMP) for example Red Hat CloudForms, Cisco CloudCenter (aka CliQr), Scalr, etc.
