We are looking for Axway API Lead / Architect for our client in Phoenix, AZ

Job Title: Axway API Lead / Architect

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Type: Contract ? 12 Months / Contract to Hire / Direct Hire

Job Description:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand their business needs and help them define their API requirements
  • Solution design and estimation
  • Design and build scalable, secure, and extensible APIs that power internal integrations and engaging customer-facing experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership to the development team
  • Create design templates, tools and accelerators for API development for the team
  • Evaluate and implement API related tools, products and platforms for the customer
  • Learn new tools/technologies and upskill the team on them
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and multiple teams to own the delivery of high quality end-product for the customer

Requirements:

  • Experience in Axway API is required
  • 8+ years of architecture and development experience in integrations/API space
  • 3+ years of hands-on development experience with APIs
  • Experience with one or more commercial API management platforms. Certification on those platforms will be an added plus
  • Experience with one or more programming languages for API development
  • Deep understanding of RESTful architecture principles and their applicability
  • Experience with all stages of the API lifecycle
  • Previous customer facing experience
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Ability to work independently with globally distributed teams and provide technical leadership/mentoring to junior members in the team
  • Ability to handle are a high volume of requests with frequent interruptions and prioritize their own work while taking organization and business needs into account
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies/tool and train the team on them
  • Degree in Computer Science (BS or MS) or a related field
