The telecommunications industry is transforming networking and communications through digital, cloud, mobile, IoT, and machine learning/artificial intelligence technologies. Several of the largest telecommunications industry participants are aggressively investing to extend their market growth with media and entertainment offerings. AWS is increasing our focus and resources to accelerate business outcomes and value creation with these customers.
In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include building executive relationships, aligning technology initiatives, successful customer adoption and lifecycle experience, market penetration of new AWS services, and revenue. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. He/she should have a good understanding of legacy and emerging technologies in the telecommunications industry. He/she should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and urgency is a must.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Drive revenue and market share
· Develop long-term strategic relationships with the largest telecommunications companies in the US
· Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
· Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
· Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
· Accelerate customer adoption
· Maintain a robust sales pipeline
· Work with partners to extend reach
· Manage contract negotiations
· Ensure customer satisfaction

· 7 – 10 years of technology related sales or business development experience
· Direct field experience in working with Large US Telecommunication accounts
· BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
· A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
· Extensive customer network


· Strong verbal and written communications skills
