Position Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the above mentioned departments. Functions in cooperation with the leadership team in developing plans, policies and procedures to meet the objective of providing quality care at Trident Health (TH). The AVP assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the departments and staff to assure quality service. The AVP is responsible for meeting TJC standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.

Position Requirements:

a) Licensure/Certification/Registration: BSN in state of SC, Certified Professional Healthcare Quality

b) Education: BSN and Master’s Degree in appropriate field of healthcare

c) Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the acute care setting with 5 years in a leadership position and 2 years of quality experience. Preferred recent experience in performance improvement, CMS quality programs, lean processing, project management, and Six Sigma certification. Current knowledge of regulations and standards as related to TJC, CMS, and Leap Frog.
