We are currently seeking a dynamic Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services to join our team at our office in Rocky Hill, CT! The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services is responsible for the leadership and administrative team management of the Beacon ICM Programs, Co-Management, Special Populations and Peer Services including the development of policy and procedures. This position interfaces with all Medicaid ASO’s in order to develop integrative strategies that enhance the service delivery system. The position interfaces with other operational units, including the clinical leadership of the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership regarding utilization and clinical systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Serves on the Senior Leadership team and works collaboratively with other senior executives to create a cohesive care organization.
  2. Provides clinical leadership, supervision and oversight to Beacon ICM programs, Co-Management, Special Populations and Peer Specialist services on Partnership policies and procedures.
  3. Recruits, orients, trains and appraises assigned staff.
  4. Ensures state-of-the art techniques are applied by Clinicians, Care Coordinators and Peer Specialists in managing service delivery with objective, standardized clinical protocols.
  5. Maintains positive and collaborative relationships with the State Partners, other Administrative Service Organizations, providers and advocacy groups to support priorities and goals. Participate in Partnership meetings as assigned.
  6. Support the preparation and written deliverable of the annual Utilization Management Plan and Evaluation as it relates to special populations and ICM/Peer/ASD programs.
  7. Ensure a seamless interface between the various ICM programs and the other clinical areas such as Care Coordinators and Peer staff.
  8. Participates in quality improvement system assessments to monitor compliance with contract standards, performance targets, clinical standards, member care objectives and to identify best clinical practices.
  9. Maintains a supportive environment that encourages diversity, teamwork and open communication.

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degreerequired.

Licensure: CT independently licensed in one or more of the following: Social Work-LCSW, Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC, Marriage and Family Therapist-LMFT, or Registered Nurse-RN

Relevant Work Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in the behavioral health field with two (2) years post masters degreeexperience in the delivery of social work/counseling services in a behavioral health care or home health setting is required. Supervisory experiencepreferred. Knowledge of local community resources is essential. Demonstrated ability to effectively intervene in complex clinical situations. Working knowledge of care management principles and practices, cost containment principles, excellent PC skills, analytical and problem solving skills needed.
