ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities of this role are:
- The AVP will support the VP in 3 main areas of business growth, business operations and business performance management. Partner with VP of business unit to understand current initiatives, create execution plans and monitor performance. Support the VP for running the entire P&L for Medical Communication business
- For business growth, the AVP will be responsible for
- Collaborating with commercial teams, understanding the commercial strategy and providing the required support through participating in overall solution development, responses to RFI/RFPs and building customer proposals
- Ensure alignment between commercial team and business managers to achieve business unit commercial goals
- Presenting the solution during bid defense meeting, answering customer queries and exhibiting an overall thought leadership in the area
- Collaborating with marketing team to develop thought leadership articles, supporting new campaigns specific to Medical Information/Affairs services, writing white papers on upcoming trends
- Collaborating with Compliance BU commercialization support team to provide inputs on customer SOWs
- Booking/Invoiced revenue evaluation, provide models/commentary of data via bottoms up approach
- Collaborate with business managers to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- For business operations, the AVP will be responsible for
- Collaborating with business managers globally (responsible for managing their respective PODS) to ensure seamless execution of day to day operations
- Act as point of escalation and work with internal teams and customer to resolve operational issues
- Work with business managers to understand their resourcing and other operational needs
- Global Operations/ Delivery Models Growth Strategy. Helping constantly evolve the operational metrics to better execute the business and anticipate the trends
- Support for global expansion into new markets
- Develop 1:1 relationship with the top 10 strategic customers and act as a coach for the operational team to drive growth within those accounts
- Support in developing partner ecosystem globally
- For business performance management, the AVP will be responsible for
- Driving overall monthly operational reporting & dashboards both for business growth as well as business operations
- Support VP in taking corrective actions to deliver on the P&L goals
- Build across BU collaboration and joint value proposition. Building and driving large deals leveraging most EVERSANA capability
- Identify current pivotal positions and future strategic capabilities, and create strategies to build talent development pipelines and retain, engage and optimize the performance of individuals in those roles
- Build and develop a high-performance team that lives the EVERSANA values of caring, creativity, commitment and collaborative behavior
- Lead the development of a segment culture that lives the EVERSANA values and provides high value to clients and employees
- Attract, develop and retain leadership for key segment positions
- Create manpower plans and manage headcounts at or below budgeted levels
- Ensure organizational development programs are effective at all levels
- Interface effectively with shared functions such as Legal, Finance, QNRA and Human Resources
- Ensure company policies are effectively implemented at all locations
- Provide input in the development/modification of policies and templates

- Support VP of Medical Communication to oversee the entire business
- Enabling effective collaboration between commercial, business managers, finance and other teams involved in day to day business
- Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

- Travel (20% to 30%)

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Education – PharmD or a Professional degree with a MBA or equivalent qualification is must for this position
- Experience and/or Training
- Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in
- Managing global MI teams/life sciences services business. At least 3-5 years of which is spent either in managing a P&L
- At least 10 plus years of experience in managing MI global operations
- 3-5 years of CRO experience or a service provider experience would be highly preferred
- Building successful teams and businesses
- Building and executing strategy, innovation and growth plans
- Experience with emerging companies and associated challenges
- Experience with FDA and other regulatory Audits
- Project management
- A proven leader with vast industry network
- Ability to establish credibility with a variety of audiences and to be decisive
