The Client Managed Inside Sales Specialist (CMISS) is an inside sales representative that is responsible for the execution and completion of Client Managed deals that are below a certain threshold in revenue. Clients will be forwarded to the Inside Sales Specialist team via the Business Consultant. This role is also responsible for working from a list of potential clients to research company information and make the initial contact with the client. The position will be responsible for contacting clients to discuss Bank of America Merchant Services solutions that are designed to help clients grow their business or to provide additional features to existing clients.

Essential Functions

  • Establish new client relationships from Business Consultant referrals.
  • Proactively reach out to prospective clients to discuss how BAMS can meet their business needs.
  • Based on referral or self-sourcing, research clients and determine best opportunity for engagement.
  • Leverage research to determine best client opportunity for product or service placement and research the client's current offerings and potential opportunities.
  • Understand industry trends and effectively position BAMS solutions with clients to drive new relationships.


  • Associate’s Degree
  • 2+ years of phone based telesales sales experience (or Bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience).


  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience selling Merchant, Bankcard or Financial Services.
  • Outstanding sales, business development and negotiation skills.
  • Timely update of deals in CRM tool and communication with primary client owner.
  • Ability to multitask and change direction in ever changing payment processing environment.
  • Strong communications, including oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Effective planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated to succeed in a performance driven environment.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn various sales applications such as internal boarding and reporting tools.
  • Proficient in working with Salesforce.com.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Works in an office environment involving sitting most of the time at a desk in front of a computer. The worker is subject to close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and viewing a computer screen to read and enter data.
  • Flexible scheduling to cover assigned time zones (US).


  • Less than 5% travel may be required to attend meetings/trainings.
