Responsibilities:

As AVP Group & Individual Claims Operations, you will...

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise to achieve profitable growth in our products.
  • Provide strategic insight and direction; champion and implement initiatives to meet our business objectives.
  • Effectively develop, lead, and influence our group claims, individual disability, dental clinical staff, and related functions to achieve operational excellence and a Best in Class claim organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 15+ years of work related experiencerequired.
  • This position requires proven leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership skills required, including excellent human relations and decision-making skills.
  • Requires strong team building skills and ability to build/maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, presentation, negotiation, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory issues affecting claims administration strongly preferred.
  • Must have ability to provide court testimony.
  • Strong product knowledge, business knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Travel required, including overnight stays.
