Job SummaryThe Regional Performance Manager plays a critical role in advancing performance standards across designated regions. Acting as a key link between operations, strategic accounts, and clients, this role provides strategic guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment. The Regional Performance Manager will develop and implement performance management strategies, identify areas for improvement, and create targeted action plans to boost team performance. The ideal candidate will possess highly technical diagnostic and ADAS skills, strong leadership capabilities, a thorough understanding of Protech operations, exceptional communication skills, and a deep knowledge of performance management principles. The ultimate goal is to inspire and motivate teams to achieve and exceed organizational objectives.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Evaluate key metrics, individual skill levels, and Protech culture to assess market-level performance, utilizing reporting and tools such as CCC, PCS, and Protech Leadership Reporting.
- Collaborate closely with operational leadership to identify areas of opportunity and implement market improvements and change management when required. Partnering with client support and communications
- Develop and strengthen both ADAS and Diagnostic Technician skills to minimize business disruptions during teammate transitions or absences.
- Create performance improvement plans and business action plans focused on enhancing individual Technician and Full Potential Market performance.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all Protech Technician Job roles, services, tooling, safety protocols, billing procedures, and responsibilities, while aligning with Protech GM/RM expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of proper vehicle repair procedures and emerging technologies.
- Serve as an on-site resource when virtual, training, and other avenues have been exhausted without resolution utilizing proper escalation process.
- Ability to provide personable, friendly and tactful customer service to internal and external customer including the sensitivity of conversation, written and verbal, with carriers.
- Participate in supervising, vetting, and signing off on teammates to ensure their qualification for new services, enabling them to be listed with the appropriate skillset.
- Offer availability and support to fill gaps in technician coverage that cannot be addressed by other local measures.
- Contribute to driving operational consistency by implementing quality assurance measures and conducting regular cross-departmental check-ins.
- Ability to perform consistent physical activity including but not limited to;
- Reaching below knee and above shoulder level
- Kneeling, bending and squatting
- Lifting objects over 50lbs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- Demonstrated ability to facilitate the growth and development of new hires through comprehensive training in all Protech Field Operation Positions.
- Proficient in conducting audits and re-inspections, both on vehicles and based on completed work order documents, within the assigned territory. Capable of providing effective coaching and feedback to Technicians and GMs at various levels.
- Excellent multitasking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy (not listed as an excluded driver).
- Ability to obtain and maintain passing completion in I-CAR, GMG, and other appointed training programs.
- Competency in navigating Alldata, Identifix, and OE service information systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive ADAS, diagnostic, and/or mechanical work.
