Maxim’s Supply Chain Quality organization is seeking an analytical, articulate, engineer/manager to ultimately drive quality improvements in our Design and Test processes.

The position will provide a unique opportunity to work in the many diverse fields encompassed by the Quality Assurance umbrella. The ideal candidate will thrive in a position requiring adaptability to challenges that can arise at a moment’s notice, which may change from day to day. You will have the opportunity to intact with all level of Maxim from engineering to executive management to resolve problems.  Additionally, this position provides unique exposure to with Maxim’s strategic external customers.

Job Description:

    Proactive involvement in the resolution of customer issues; act as the “Voice of Customer” during discussions that could impact product quality
    Facilitate customer corrective action teams; a direct interface to convey the capability and responsiveness of Maxim to customer requirements.  Ensure CA team in on track to respond to customer within allowed tiem frame.
    Analyze trends in customer returned parts provide analysis to management and focus improvement to address the trends.  Publish reports on metrics on trends.
    Analyze PPM/PPB metrics of customer returns.  Drive actions to reduce common failure modes.
    Drive Best Known Methods (BKM) and lessons learned throughout Maxim.
    Perform internal and supplier audits as needed.
    Deep dive complex processes and identify weak points, gaps and risks. Formulate plans to eliminate weakness and reduce risk to the organization.   Lead projects to improve identified processes.
    Review and approve datasheets for new products.
    Summarize to upper management actions taken or to be taken.

Minimum Qualifications     

    Master’s degree in Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics or related field
    Extensive knowledge of silicon semiconductor physics for CMOS & Bipolar devices
    Excellent communication skills in difficult/diverse situations; level-headed and articulate as you will be interacting with executive management, key customers and occasionally process auditors.
    Ability to summarize complicated problems statements so that people outside of the industry can understand.
    Drive corrective action and the verification of such actions
    Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization’s zero-defect initiative
    Confident in personal technical expertise; self-driven/tenacious to acquire knowledge as situations dictate
    In-depth knowledge of circuit design and/or development of semiconductor test programs.
    Understanding of DFMEA process, Design for Test, Semiconductor Reliability and automotive quality requirements
    IATF Lead Auditor and AIAG Core Tools Certified preferred
