PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Supervises the daily activities of a team and is accountable for the performance and results of a team
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; decisions are guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Ensures that accurate forecasting, pipeline management and other sales process/infrastructures and reporting functions are established to provide accurate and timely information for decision making
  • Ensures that sales pipelines are generated using core sales processes to drive revenue in line with quotas
  • Possesses knowledge of company products and services - able to articulate our value proposition
  • Demonstrates the ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
  • Understands how the team relates to other closely related teams to improve efficiency

JOB COMPLEXITY:

  • Supervises professional individual contributors
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations requires a proficient knowledge of sales processes
  • Has a proficient understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of assigned accounts
  • Complexity is high with respect to territory/accounts, products/services, sales or account management process
  • Interaction requires the ability to gain cooperation of others
  • Uses tact and diplomacy to exchange information and address sensitive issues
  • Uses judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day problems
  • Interacts with senior and executive management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proficient products/services knowledge in more than one area
  • Proficient understanding of value proposition and core sales process and metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assigned resources

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years experience; previous experience leading sales teams responsible for driving revenue growth preferred

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree (Bachelors or equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience
