Job Title: Automotive Electrical Connectivity Engineer - Direct Hire / Full Time / Perm

Job Description:

  • Experience Level (Years)   5-8

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure all requirements for head unit and vehicle electronics systems are understandable
  • Manage defects and ensure high-quality deliverables for connected services 
  • Maintain the defect management process for Head Unit, including managing the DMS
  • Track change requests with HU suppliers and manage development timeline
  • Understand development schedule with supplier and develop strategies for Connected Services team
  • Ensure unit-testing of all Applications / Features and qualification readiness prior to each QualificationEvent
  • Track status of HU software releases and provide direction on what updates/changes are being driven to ensure timely, accurate unit-testing and qualificationevents
  • Attend and manage meetings related to Firmware Integration, Release Management, Defect Management
  • Support the development and approval of Design Gate documents
  • Create and maintain One Page Reports related to status of Project Post-Design Gate
  • Provide Firmware Test and Defects status reports
  • Perform API Tool Test on every HU software release
  • Domestic Travel < 20%

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in ElectricalEngineering or related field required; Graduate Degree is preferred
  • 5years of experience in Automotive Electrical / Connectivity / U-Connect domain required
  • 2years of experience in Automotive Electrical Development & Design strongly desired
  • 2years of experience in Telematics Connectivity / U-Connect strongly desired
  • Strong leadership skills to manage project team
  • Subject Matter Expert on CAN Bus tools
  • Highly proficient with Logging Tools
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure development timing and meeting of KPIs
  • Proficient in MS Office / MS Project / Vision / Matlab / LabVIEW / NX / CAN / CANalyzer / CANoe
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to properly escalate issues to management as needed
  • Automated Testing Definition experience strongly desired
  • Driver's License and clean MVR for use of company car
