Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced developer with proven ability to learn quickly and deliver efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a talented and driven emerging technology team.
Primary responsibilities are development in a variety of technologies using Agile practices. Our team supportsarchitecture, the Development Center of Excellence, and the application development teams by creating proof-of-concepts and reference applications. This job involves the ability to quickly absorb information and generate working code.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, provide intermediate programming, configuring and/or analysis skills for specific system assignments
  • Independently manage interaction between other system teams, vendor teams, and technical support areas as required
  • For observed system issues troubleshoot, conduct impact analysis, define solution options and escalate appropriately. When required, define technical requirements and has ability to coordinate available resources to solve problems
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders – both technical and business. Utilize business knowledge to explain technical activities in business terms
  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities as needed.
  • Perform basic Kanban/Lean Planning activities and adheres to the best practices of this delivery practice
  • Work alongside GSO partners as required, and provides technical guidance to less experienced employees.
  • Ensure work complies with department’s standards, processes, and protocols. Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques with a focus on Lean software delivery.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 3 years of programming/development experiencerequired.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 5 years of programming/development experiencepreferred.

Planning (Project Management): Able to manage time and competing priorities and provide management with accurate and timely status information. Able to accurately evaluate and estimate tasks. Financial Awareness: Able to understand how the project schedule relates to budget.

Environmental/Work Schedules/Other
Requires weekend work hours. Requires overnight work hours. Requires holiday work hours (Federal and religious). Requires extended periods (1 or more weeks) of travel as needed. Requires travel up to 5% of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming/analysis experience in .Net or other OOP language.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as Angular
  • Familiarity with trending software and design practices

Physical Requirements
Operates standard office equipment. Requires extended periods of computer use. Requires extended periods of sitting.
