Our Chief Data Office, also known as our Enterprise Business Data Solutions team (EDS), is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model – disrupting the insurance market.

The Associate Scientist - Digital User Experience will assist the Digital User Experience Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead to understand stakeholder data capability needs and organization pain points. In this role you will have to distill complex processes and consciously craft detailed “user stories” to enable our Agile Development initiative. An impactful Digital User Experience Associate Analyst will be highly motivated to articulate the complex problems facing our users and develop solutions that define the next generation of interaction.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Internalize and execute on EDS and company-wide goals to become a data driven organization
  • Interface with teams across the value chain to raise awareness of user needs, pain points, and behaviors
  • Understand stakeholder needs and identify the right research methodologies to address them
  • Fully execute research projects from initial kick off to fielding/interviewing to sharing findings as a primary researcher
  • Identify unmet research opportunities that can add value and efficiently execute them
  • Develop methodological plan to support the organization’s roadmap
  • Serve as a source of user knowledge for the organization
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements
  • Create meaningful visualizations that insightfully communicate business requirements

  • Conduct user interviews with stakeholders to determine current state of data usage and limitations

  • Assist the facilitation of sourcing and profiling, governance, and ingestion of business data

  • Engage with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to drive enterprise-wide business decision making

You will report to Senior CoE Lead – Digital User Experience.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Bachelors or Mastersdegree
  • 5-7 years of experience in user experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services segment

  • Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management and customer interaction

  • Experience analyzing business requirements using tools including Microsoft DevOps, MicroStrategy, and Qlik

  • Ability to take ownership, work under pressure, and meet deadlines on time

  • Passion for data and experienceworking within a data driven organization
