The Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking scientists with research programs in the areas of metabolism/obesity, cancer or cardiovascular disease. We are recruiting at the level of Assistant or AssociateProfessor (tenure) and are seeking an individual with a strong independent research program and preferably, with current NIH funding. The candidate should also have a strong commitment to excellence in graduate and medical studenteducation.
The Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics has strong research programs in both basic and translational biomedical research and state-of-the-art facilities for confocal and multiphoton imaging, mouse MRI, and computed tomography. Baylor College of Medicine has outstanding core facilities for the creation and phenotypic analysis of mouse models and is a world-renowned research institution with ample opportunities for scientific interaction and collaborations within the department, throughout the College, and with the other world class institutions of the Texas Medical Center.
