Role Overview

This role will serve as an advisor, subject matter expert, and primary lead on cybersecurity projects and/or cybersecurity workstreams of other key I&T projects. This may include leading Information Security strategy development, maturity assessments, regulatory assessments, system assessments and other such technology related implementations.

Responsibilities

• Assess business and I&T environments to determine appropriate Information Security strategies, roadmaps, and other related recommendations.
• Provide complex technical/cybersecurity advisory, recommendations, and consultancy on networks, infrastructure, products, and services
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable, risk-based information security recommendations.
• Advise on current cybersecurity-related threats and related mitigation strategies
• Assist in the ongoing development of methodologies and toolkits.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Deep experience in information security management and related functions and frameworks such as IT Risk Management, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Risk Management Framework, CIS Top 20 Controls, HIPAA Privacy and Security, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS)
• At least 5+ years of professional experience working in a security consultant role performing organizational information security assessment and advisory services
• CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH or CIA certified
• Previous experience serving as a CISO for a healthcare system is strongly preferred
• Experience leading a project, leading a project team, and the ability to lead key requirement workshops with clients
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
