Associate IT Engineer / System Administrator at Hedge Fund in New York, NY

Top-tier $4+ billion hedge fund with offices in New York & Greenwich is seeking a highly qualified IT person to join our infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the director of information technology, the candidate will provide first level technical and system administration support for the firm while aiding in ongoing IT projects in both offices. Immediate priorities for the group include expanding our AWS cloud footprint, transitioning to Office 365 while keeping up with latest compliance and security. This is a unique opportunity that should build up experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix, Cisco ASAs, Cisco switches, Cisco UCS (VOIP), Load Balancers, Palo Alto, Varonis, RSA, Exchange, O365, Azure, AWS and more. Basic knowledge of Microsoft and TCP/IP routing Cisco is required. Additional experience with the aforementioned technologies would be helpful. This is a very demanding fast paced position that will require dedication and flexibility to work out of either offices located in Greenwich and NYC. Project management and documentation skills are also desired. Looking for a highly motivated candidate that is focused and eager to learn. Ideal candidate would also be security centric and well versed in good security practices. Relevant certifications are desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide desktop, server, administration and support. - Manage IBM BigFix for patch management. - Manage Varonis active directory and Exchange auditing. - Monitor and troubleshoot circuit issues: Internet, SIP Trunks, MPLS and VPNs. - Install, upgrade, and configure network printing, directory structures, user rights, security, and misc. applications on Microsoft Windows Workstations and Servers. - Monitor EMC and Network Appliance SAN networks. - Administrate Exchange server, email compliance email archive systems. - Administrate CA ARCServe Tape backup, Symantec Endpoint Antivirus, and CRMs like ACT and Protrak. - Full understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory and administration. - Administrate Citrix XenApp Farms, RSA Ace Server, Citrix VDA. - Administrate network appliances: IronPort, Palo Alto Networks, Fatpipe LBs. - Install and upgrade hardware (desktops, servers, network components, printers, accessories). - Perform tests of all preventative procedures and processes (backups, restores, business continuity, antivirus, and automatic updates). - Experience with voicemail and telephone support on a clustered Cisco Call Manager. - Trading ringdown management and support. - Handheld device support (iPhone, iPad, Android,). - Data center administration and management. - AWS cloud administration and migration. - Office 365 migration.
