JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for managing projects that involve examining and evaluating company order processing systems to document current workflow processes and explore opportunities to improve service to customers and reduce costs.  Oversees projects from inception to completion and ensures that the company receives the anticipated deliverable benefits from the work performed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

o    Develop key initiatives to improve operational efficiency by reviewing established processes and researching current trends for various departments including distribution, supply chain, inventory management and transportation.  Create analysis and reporting to support proposed key initiatives

o    Partner with key business leaders to identify and document customer opportunities and needs in order to develop and implement solutions.

o    Identify and prioritize critical technology initiatives within Global Services to determine projects that meet the criteria for the Top 12 Project Process by partnering with Information Systems Team and Key Managers in Global Services to understand scope, technical requirements, business impact and proposed cost of each project. Monitor progress of projects to ensure that all timelines and objectives are met.

o    Provide support to on-going projects where needed and compile timely reports to highlight current status. Understand project scope and requirements as defined by the business to achieve the desired results.

o    Analyze and evaluate the financial payback on projects to enable senior management to prioritize the work and evaluate results thru Data Mining; systems include but are not limited to JD Edwards, WCS & Data Warehouse.

o    Work closely with IS to modify the workflow of the order management system to incorporate new and essential functionalities. Responsible for technical training whenever necessary to other team members.

o    Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Seasoned, experienced senior level professional; in-depth knowledge and full understanding of two or more disciplines and good knowledge of other related disciplines. Strong judgment and analytical ability, evaluation, originality and ingenuity required to perform tasks. Know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Resolve a wide range of issues and assignments in creative ways. Assignments are typically broad in nature. Serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May take on project lead role on small scale projects.


COMPLEXITY: 

Work on complex issues/projects where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Use best practices and knowledge of business issues and strategic direction to solve complex problems where precedent may not exist; recommend solutions to business challenges. Demonstrate strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal and external personnel inside and outside own area of expertise.


SUPERVISION: 

Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work and minimal instruction on new projects or assignments.  May act as a resource to provide formal guidance for co-workers with less experience. Assignments can be broad in nature. May manage vendor relationships.

Qualifications

 WORK EXPERIENCE: Typically 6 to 8 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications.
