The Associate Director, Global Marketing – Retainers, is responsible for developing and executing the Global Retainers roadmap and developing and optimizing commercial programs for Align’s Retainers business.
By working cross-functionally across global and regional commercial teams, R&D, IT, finance, legal and other direct and indirect stakeholders, this person will help develop and deploy a multiyear vision and strategy that accelerates the global growth of the Retainers business and serves the needs of the Ortho and GP channels, as well as the broader business. He/she will lead product and both Professional and Consumer program initiatives that improve the appeal, value, and ease of use of the Retainer products, leading to increased consumer demand, doctor adoption, and doctor utilization. This role will also be responsible for defining and executing various short term projects that impact Align’s Retainers portfolio.
In this role, you will…
Develop deep customer expertise to understand category needs and competive offerings
Provide deep understanding of sales trends in the category; understand performance, issues, and define appropriate strategy to accelerate growth
Create and prioritize product features/requirements based on customer input, internal capability, competitive considerations, etc.
Define and clarify the product needs, messaging, value proposition, pricing, selling “what we have” and new products and driving education strategy / content
Collaborate with regional commercial partners to align on and push the strategy, drive channel sales, drive and support local execution, and coordinate commercialization of initiatives
Work collaboratively with peers and cross-functional partners to ensure connectedness across other product lines and commercial efforts
Assess post-market performance through product analytics and user feedback; make recommendations for enhancements
In this role, you’ll need …
BS or BA or equivalent experience required, MBA a plus.
Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience – demonstrated excellence in upstream marketing, product management, and commercialization
Experience in a Life Sciences industry
Strong leadership skills – leading and influencing both with and without authority
Proven track record in managing multiple high visibility, fast-paced projects, and driving them to successful completion
Ability to drive and lead cross functional collaboration and teams (marketing and cross-functional) at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and organization skills
Comfort with ambiguity and change as well as fast-paced programs
Proactive by nature coupled with ability to think strategically and creatively
