Pratt and Whitney is home to a world-class Survivability organization. Team members work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with interaction with numerous other engineering groups. The Survivability team is seeking an entry level associate research engineer/associatesoftware engineer who will be responsible in assisting with the development/maintenance of state of the art internal software designed to simulate complex Electro/Infrared phenomena. The ideal candidate should have some experience in developing software on Windows/LINUX operating systems, be able to strategize software development for future enhancements, familiar with high compute clusters, and able to guide Subject Matter Experts in the best approach for desired capability when considering computer hardware. The position will also require the individual to manage version control, perform unit testing, and assist with semi-annual scheduled software updates to all key engineering projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable and or familiar with Github, JAVA, C/C++, R, PYTHON, and PERL. Knowledge of FORTRAN would be a plus. Job will require candidate to have a B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science/Computer Programming or related field and be a US Citizen. Candidates with a DoD Security Clearance a plus. Must be able to obtain a DoD Security clearance by passing all 13 Adjunctive Guidelines.
Qualification: Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Candidate should have releavant experience in software development.
