Associate Engineer LDP – Architecture & Software
If you’re looking for a unique opportunity in engineering that will stretch your technical skills and grow your capability to lead teams in a highly successful global company, the Rockwell Automation Architecture & Software (A&S) Leadership Development Program (LDP) may be for you. The A&S LDP is a distinctive two-year program, comprising four rotations (6 months each). The program provides technical career development challenges through a powerful combination of targeted training, mentoring, coaching and robust rotational assignments to prepare associates for future engineering management roles. Upon completion of your two-year program, you will find placement in our organization that will continue to develop you into a future leader.
The program exposes associates to leading edge industrial automation technology that is developed within the Architecture and Software (A&S) business, such as Software for automation, programmable automation controllers, machinery safety, process control, industrial security, cloud computing, industrial Ethernet, motion control and more.
The first rotation, based in Mayfield Heights, OH, includes a combination of formal classroom training and field assignments to give the associates hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation's products and how customers in different industries use our products and technologies. The training focuses on both technical and leadership competencies. The remaining 3 rotations will target other functional areas that will further develop product development competency such as Development Engineering, Application Engineering, System and Functional Test, and Project Management. Giving the associate a cross-functional experience, the purpose of the A&S LDP program is to prepare them for future engineering management roles in the company.
The A&S LDP also provides associates with an opportunity to match their backgrounds, skills and interests in an environment that will prepare them as leaders of change. The program supports professional growth with an individualized approach through mentoring, networking and interacting with leaders across the organization.
