We are seeking an Associate Engineer in Systems Engineering to join our facility located in Jupiter, FL in Spring 2019. After orientation and training, performs entry-level professional assignments under close supervision and following established procedures.

This position may be filled at the level posted or at the next higher level.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

After orientation and training, performs entry-level professional systems engineering assignments under general supervision and following established systems engineering policies. Provides Systems Engineering discipline support to engineering team leaders as identified below, including team coordination and planning, and interfacing with program management and customers

60% - Assists with the development of hardware and software requirements for rocket propulsion systems product development. Responsible for derivation, allocation, and documentation of requirements in requirements database and specifications. Coordinates requirements and related specification change management with IPT members. Assists with defining and coordinating requirements verification plans with integrated product team members. Following established procedures, coordinates plans and compliance assessment and certification.

15% - Performs functional analysis and coordinates system trade studies. Coordinates selection of optimized concept baselines through benefit/cost trades in support of definition of system architecture and objectives.

15% - Performs project risk assessment and management and prepares and reports results on mitigation plans.

10% - Communicates results in oral presentations and written communication.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Advanced degree desirable. Coursework in Systems Engineering (requirements management, risk management, product development cycle) disciplines and rocket propulsion strongly desired. Experience with DOORS or equivalent requirements management software and Model-Based Systems Engineering using SysML preferred.

US Citizenship required. Must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Demonstrated team work experience and solid communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
