Talent Managers serve as strategic business partners who interface with senior leadership to determine the course and shape of the people strategy.  Due to the fast-paced, global nature of our business, successful Talent Managers at Cognizant are extremely proactive contributing at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an innovative and engaging Cognizant culture as the organization grows and scales.  Talent Managers are responsible for all HRresponsibilities including, but not limited to: employee relations, rewards and recognition, performance management, employee engagement, career management, change management, executive coaching, group dynamics, teambuilding, and learning and development.  Talent Managers interact with all levels of the Cognizant Business Unit and partner with all Human Resources centers of excellent (COE) to support the business.

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 10+years of experience in the field of HRM, including experiencesupporting a  non-exempt population
  • Experience managing complex account groups and direct report(s) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in highly matrixed organization
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills; very strong presentation & client relationship management skills (client could be internal or external)
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to define & enable processes
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, constantly changing work environment where status quo is always challenged & ambiguity is tolerated
  • Highly self-motivated & driven with ability to work independently
  • Team orientation and ability to collaborate with individuals from all backgrounds
  • Strong understanding of immigration, state and local employment laws
  • A BA/BS degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, MA/MS in Human Resources is a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%
  • This is a 24/7 operation, while the Talent Manager will generally be expected to work during normal business hours, they may need to fluctuate their time to non-standard business hours as needed
  • Experience working in a high-stress environment supporting associates who have access to highly sensitive material and information
