Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Strategy and Commercial Analytics supports the valuation and understanding of targeted business development compounds. The position will be responsible for working cross functionally to provide a broad understanding of the target compound, including a high level of clinical understanding, pricing, promotion and competitive elements. The role will develop net revenue forecasts for each opportunity, including a high level understanding of gross to net impacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide insight and market intelligence into evaluations of business development candidates. Evaluation may include assessment of the following:
    • Develop knowledge of therapeutic area
    • Establish target pricing
    • Address necessary promotion and sales force commitment
    • Understand competitive landscape
  • Develop target product net revenue forecasts for targeted business development compounds, including high level understanding of gross to net impacts
  • Assess data requirements for business development function and acquire those elements that will enhance our evaluation process
  • Direct physician or payer market research on target compound
  • Maintain high level knowledge of the pharmaceutical business and market dynamics to ensure relevant elements are incorporated into valuations
  • Support ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with relevant experience in data analysis, decision support, and product level forecasting
  • Outstanding analytical and data management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail, the ability to take ownership of issues, to work independently with confidence, and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees and demonstrate strong teaming and partnering skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Up to 15% domestic travel
