Alkermes has a strong history of formulation technology and drug development.  Through partnerships with major drug companies, this technology is widely used in several marketed products, particularly in the CNS market. Over the past decade we have transitioned to a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company with our own internal commercial operations.  Our development candidate ALKS3831, an oral medication for the treatment of schizophrenia, is completing phase 3.  FDA decision is anticipated for 2020.  This is your opportunity to be part of a highly talented and motivated cross functional product launch team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor to the  development of Payer Access Strategy in government and commercial channels  
  • Influential role in the development of the pricing and contracting launch strategy
  • Support development of the payer value proposition utilizing clinical and health economic data
  • Development and delivery of supporting tools and resources for account management teams as it relates to reimbursement and access
  • Monitor evolving payer market  and advise implications for business strategy
  • Participate and contribute to all launch team meetings and events
  • Manage relationship with key vendors and partners
  • Manage budget resources

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science (MBA preferred)
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Product Marketing combined with at least 3 years of payer marketing
  • In depth knowledge of the payer environment and understanding of the evolving reimbursement landscape.
  • Pharmaceutical product launch experience is preferred  
  • Knowledge of CNS preferred
  • Understanding of the FDA promotional guidelines and approval process

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to work across multiple functions (sales, brand marketing, market research, policy, medical affairs, finance)
  • Knowledge of government pricing, codes and reimbursement
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient management of agencies to develop and implement creative programs and tactics
  • Strong communication skills (writing and verbal)
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment as it pertains to government channels
