The Associate Director, Patient Marketing Pompe Disease will provide strategic leadership for the global commercial planning and execution for Patient activities.

This position reports to the VP Global TA Head Rare Neurology and Metabolic Diseases. This position must collaborate thoroughly and strongly with the Global Commercial Lead and Associate Director HCP Marketing Pompe Disease. The role will be highly cross-functional, will require close interaction with regions and key countries, and involve leveraging synergies through a strong collaboration with all Rare Diseases teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Patient-focused Marketing Strategy and Ensure alignment across affiliates and functions
  • Prepare for the launch of the investigational product Avalglucosidase alfa by initiating the development of patient-targeted materials
  • Launch and Roll out Patient campaigns and materials in countries and monitor the implementation through appropriate KPIs
  • Support the global Pompe initiatives to accelerate patient diagnosis in Pompe Disease
  • In collaboration with Digital Marketing, contribute to the development of Pompe website and other digital tactics
  • Lead the Pompe Communication Activities internally and externally in collaboration with Corp comms, regions and countries (e.g. Pompe Awareness Day, Internal Sharepoint and Newsletters)
  • Design and execute other select Pompe promotional tactics, as defined in the Global Pompe Brand Plan
  • Manage Pompe promotional budget, vendors, timelines, deliverables as appropriate

Team collaboration:

  • Contributor to the Pompe Portfolio Brand planning, specifically on Patient strategies and programs
  • Responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams (including but not limited to Patient Advocacy, Communications, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Regions and countries) to execute Patient programs and support the markets
  • Provide global commercial input in the Global Pompe Brand team

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, scientific background preferred
  • 7+ years marketing experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical and / or medical device industries
  • Rare Diseases experience in a global, regional and/or country role
  • Global commercial experience and regional/country commercial experience
  • Launch experience and patient marketing experience preferred
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, fast-changing environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
  • Natural inclination toward action; results-oriented and motivated self-starter; Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle numerous issues at the same time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and listening skills, ability to develop important relationships with multinational stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively across functions, cultures and countries
  • Ability to work with, motivate, and manage agency partners
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both with regional and country-based stakeholders
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including some weekends; and hold valid international passport
