A religious Manhattan non-profit has a position for an Associate Director of Finance. The position reports to the Director of Finance (bit of a "Duh" moment there). The remit of the Finance Department is to tend to the finances for the whole non-profit, administrative, operational and managerial functions, property and maintenance service, insurance, and substantial program and project costs.
Ongoing analysis of costs is an important component of the position, and the department provides tactical and strategic oversight as to how the money ($millions, btw) is saved/invested/spent. Big-picture oversight coupled with the details of daily cash positions and cash flow. Work with the investment office. Attend a ton of meetings with the relevant sub-committees. Be aware of grants processes and tax implication of gifts.
A relevant bachelor's degree is required and, ideally, about five years of finance or accounting experience.
