The Associate Director, MPM Marketing is a full-time, exempt position that will lead the development of marketing strategies, execution, and measurement of programs and tactics to support the growth of Optune Lua targeted towards all HCP segments. The Associate Director, MPM Marketing will also be responsible for team mentorship of product managers.
This position is located out of the New York, NY office and reports to the Director of US Marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with Brand Director to develop and execute professional marketing strategies and tactics for the growth of Optune Lua
- Leads and implements the brand platform including positioning, targeting, messaging, and creative campaign as needed
- Works in a team-based environment assisting in the development of strategies and leading implementation of promotional tactics to maximize sales and market share of Optune Lua in MPM
- Proactively considers/identifies new strategies, tactics, and vendors to challenge the team’s thinking and raise the level of brand performance
- Establishes a strong relationship with the sales, thought leader liaison, training, and patient support teams to ensure flawless execution in programming and message pull through, uncovers opportunities and issues in execution and ensures customer needs are exceeded
- Manages the creative agency of record and promotional budgets and evaluates brand performance to ensure cost-effective allocation of resources
- Understands trends in the marketplace, competitive environments, and customer needs impacting professional marketing on an on-going basis to the marketing plan
- Evaluates the effectiveness of promotional programs through brand KPIs and other metrics to ensure positive return on investment and achievement of brand objectives
- Position will have a role in mentoring product marketers with varying experience
- Travel is required, up to 25% of the time (including weekends as needed)
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in collaborative and fast-paced team environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functionally and often in situations without direct authority
- Experience developing a strategy and an integrated plan to achieve and measure the impact of the pull through
- Exceptional project and budget management skills
- Strong commercialization experience that has yielded an understanding of the activities, regulations, and processes required for successful product marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional listening skills, strong presentation skills, and good negotiating and influencing skills
- Operates quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, demanding, and innovative environment
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in an entrepreneurial work environment, lead or contribute to a project in a direct capacity
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Advanced business degree such as an MBA preferred
- 2 years of Oncology, Immunology, Neurology, or Hematology experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in the healthcare industry marketing in either pharmaceuticals or medical device preferred
- Field experience as either a sales specialist, medical science liaison, or field reimbursement manager preferred
- Medical device experience strongly preferred
- Launch and in-line brand management experience highly desirable
