The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge organization has an open Associate Director of Operations position, leading vendor management and transitions project management. Responsibilities include leading business unit P&L performance. Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals and objectives to meet all aspects of the control tower including, MFA, safety, employee engagement, quality, delivery, and cost. Focus will be on the vendors ability to meet these objectives.

Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals and objectives to meet all aspects of the control tower including, MFA, safety, employee engagement, quality, delivery, and cost. Focus will be on the vendors ability to meet these objectives.

The individual will lead a matrixed team of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and supply chain buyers to redefine processes, execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations.

This position will require the selected individual to coordinate between the materials and operations organizations within the Isothermal Disk Forging unit and coordinate the entries and exits across multiple vendors. In addition to TVA management the qualified individual will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition into production of ATI working between design engineering, manufacturing engineering and the transition standard work group in EH to process map, and ensure a smooth transition and hand-off into production.

Qualified candidates will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building. They will be able to communicate effectively, have strong strategic leadership and business acumen. They will excel at forward thinking and insure the entire unit is customer focused enabling it to meet the demands of a difficult manufacturing environment

Education / Certifications

  • BA Degree

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • 4+ years manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MSdegree w/7+ years experience
  • PhD degree w/4+ years experience
  • Craft clear communication
  • Analytical Skills

  • Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity
