This critical role is responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition, both experienced and campus, requiring the incumbent to drive strategic and tactical initiatives around effective candidate delivery to the business. This role manages a global team of recruitment professionals and reports to the firm’s Director of Human Capital.

The successful candidate will be focused on delivering strategic talent pipelines and enriched candidate experiences, delivering exceptional talent to the business and ensuring our mission of being the best Economic Consulting firm in the world.

Essential Functions

Recruitment Cycle

  • Build relationships and rapport with hiring managers and business leaders through efficient execution of recruitment activities
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization to obtain the business requirements to create job descriptions/postings, source and hire the right candidates and meet their hiring needs and organizational goals
  • Research into different groups within the organization to gain an understanding of both cultural fit of candidates as well as skill levels required
  • Research into competitors and market place
  • Manage the sourcing and qualification of talent in the marketplace for professional-level lateral hires
  • Recommend and drive improvements that impact local pipeline areas
  • Assume a lead role managing all aspects of partner-level (i.e., revenue producer) recruitment
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruiting process for PhD hiring globally
  • Strategize different ways to build PhD talent pipelines and execute on referral generation, events and sourcing
  • Manage and further relationships with university staff and faculty at targeted universities for PhD and undergraduate talent
  • Manage campus outreach and early career recruiting processes for full-time employment and internship opportunities
  • Utilize advanced recruitment sourcing techniques to uncover new sources of talent
  • Leverage the use of all direct recruitment channels, including internal and external job resources and all potential candidate touch points such as social media, employee referral programs, blog, contact lists, lead generation sources, alumni networks, professional associations, conferences and events
  • Phone screen and qualify potential candidates based on the goals and needs of the business
  • Represent the talent acquisition team positively and strategically in relationships and communication with candidates
  • Present detailed candidate profile summaries of short listed candidates to hiring managers
  • Coach hiring managers on best recruiting practices
  • Partner with Human Capital leaders to develop and implement formalized candidate assessment processes
  • Manage selection and usage of valid instruments and tools, ensuring alignment with position requirements
  • Lead the offer phase of the process including offer letter/contract generation, delivery and follow-up
  • Work with Human Capital Operations to ensure smooth onboarding process for new hires

Team, Process and Vendor Management

  • Serve as the senior liaison and strategic partner with 3rd party employment, recruiting and advertising agencies
  • Create, evaluate, and analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Global Talent Acquisition and provide periodic updates to senior management
  • Direct the operational side of the organization including budget, metrics, planning, and reporting to stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to the team of recruiters that manage the complete end-to-end recruiting process (manager in-take process, sourcing/screening candidates, recruiting and scheduling of interviews, etc.)
  • Coach and recommend process improvements, advanced recruiting approaches, and staffing best practices to increase the effectiveness of the team
  • Ensure recruiters are sourcing and presenting diverse slates of candidates to business and HR leaders
  • Participate in special projects as needed


  • A minimum of ten years of proven experience in a recruitment research, sourcing, or recruitment role in a fast-moving environment
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Best practice recruitment expertise with solid knowledge of the latest talent acquisition tools, legal regulations and market trends
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cold or warm call potential candidates
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills and ability to multitask and produce high volume pipelines under tight deadlines
  • Ability to drive towards a “best in class” candidate experience
  • Excellent sourcing ability including knowledge and experience with recruitment tools/methods including proficiency in using applicant tracking systems
  • Good knowledge of candidate selection methods
  • Good understanding of business objectives and recruitment strategies
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
