Job DescriptionDirect, supervise, and provide leadership for the all communications, marketing, and website functions within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs. The Associate Director is responsible for administering a comprehensive communication plan in consultation and collaboration with the University’s Division of Marketing and Communications and their strategy, and overseeing a robust financial literacy program. The position supervises two staff members, one responsible for sending outgoing communications, the other for the financial literacy program that is fully integrated into the student’s academic and co-curricular experience while providing tools for scholarship searches and student loan repayment options.
QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing.
5 years of experience working in the communications field.
Job Specific QualificationsIn depth knowledge of federal, state and institutional financial aid policies and procedures.
Ability to solve complex issues and work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, high stress environment. Well-developed analytical, cognitive, and computer skills are required.
Superb communication and editing skills are required and well as experience in developing web content, e-newsletters, forms, etc.
Ability to supervise and motivate staff.
