Reporting to the Senior Director of HCV Marketing, this role will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing key HCP non-personal marketing strategies, campaigns, messaging, and tactics for the US HCV HCP Team.
  • Strategy lead for Addiction Medicine opportunity and other key HCP audience strategic assessments.
  • Leading insight generation through opportunity/ assessment for share, market expansion and data consistency and analysis (generate insights from market research and secondary data) resulting in marketing mix and ROI analysis.
  • Managing multi-channel media strategy, planning and execution.
  • Lead or serve as a key project team member on cross-functional projects, often with high visibility to senior management within the organization.
  • Ensuring operational excellence and compliant activation of all key deliverables.
  • Effectively managing multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal (executives, US leadership team, sales, cross functional colleagues, etc.) and external audiences.
  • Hiring, developing, coaching and managing performance of direct reports.
  • Working closely with promotional review committee to manage timelines and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.
  • Leading by example, respecting Gilead core values of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusion and Accountability.
  • Closely managing and achieving budget targets.


  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in product marketing or advertising focused on HCP NPP marketing and brand strategy.
  • Strategic thinker with innovative mindset and ability to make critical decisions and recommendations among a range of strategic choices.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related fields required.
  • Previous experience in marketing, market research and/or communications agency experience desired.
  • Preferred experience with managing individual direct reports as well as cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to travel as dictated by business need, including overnights and attendance at some nighttime and weekend programs.
  • Must be fluent in conversational and written English.
