Job Title:Associate Development Architect

 

Location: Alpharetta, GA

 

Purpose and Objective:  SAP Labs, LLC seeks an Associate Development Architect at our Alpharetta, GA location to be responsible for the design and architecture of the product implementation which includes integration with the customer backend systems, web interfaces, and legacy systems.

 

Expectations and Tasks:Responsible for aligning the design of the product in accordance with the defined architecture. Perform analysis of the architecture considering the system and environment constraints. Evaluate risk with the existing architecture and proposing/implementing changes to mitigate the risks. Actively contribute to the requirement elicitation process by creating high level design documents and artifacts. Perform effort estimation of the user stories according to the sprint planning. Translate product requirements into technical requirements and eventually technical tasks which are assigned to individuals. Analyze the systems, interfaces, and design to create reusable and scalable software components which eventually reduces efforts later. Collaborate with the developers/architects of the product team/implementation team(s) and contribute to all tasks of implementation team/product team. Actively participate in creating proof of concepts which helps to analyze technology and architecture feasibility. Monitor implementation of design and/or architecture concepts together with implementation team. Coach and consult implementation teams on software engineering aspects. Responsible for the design and architecture of the product/enterprise application; responsible for analysis of the current architecture, evaluate risks, propose changes to mitigate the risks and optimize the solution; and create prototypes and present it to the stakeholders which will help to understand the scalability and feasibility of the proposed solution. 10% travelrequired.

 

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 6 years of experience. Employer will accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.

 

Work Experience:Experience must involve: JAVA/ JAVA EE in design and development of enterprise applications; design and development of SOAP and REST web services using Spring; developing server side applications using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate; developing web applications using front end frameworks such as AngularJS; Development of UI applications using HTML5, CSS3, javascript, jquery; MVC architecture and implementing MVC using Spring MVC; Aspect Oriented Programming using Spring AOP to address cross cutting concerns such as logging; integrating ORM framework such as Hibernate and Ibatis with Spring; Consumption of REST web service using Spring Rest Template; Consumption of SOAP web service using Apache CXF integrated with Spring; implementing logging using SLF4J and logback; implementing unit testing using JUNIT and TestNG; implementing automation testing using automation frameworks such as Selenium and TestNG; build and project management tools such as ANT and MAVEN; and cloud technologies and Microservices. 10% travelrequired.
