We are looking for an Associate Creative Director (ACD) who will join our Garden’s Marketing team in Columbus, Ohio. If you are outside the Columbus Market, we would be open to remote work or eventually move to this great town.
We are looking for an ultra-talented Associate Creative Director to lead creative and production projects from concept creation to completion with our category leading Gardens brands (Miracle-Gro, Bonnie, AeroGarden). The ACD is a unique, cross-functional creative role within Scotts Miracle-Gro. Equal parts maker and manager of work. You will spend just as much time designing, sketching, editing, shooting, and making as you will leading work streams where you are managing and eliciting excellent creative work from others. We want you shooting photos, flying drones, making GIFs and generally doing whatever you need to do to help make excellent creative work for your brands.
The role can also be considered "brand steward" for the various creative needs for our brands, where the CM is responsible for making sure we are expressing our creative according to their exact positioning and guidelines, including language, copy, voice and tone, logo usage, color usage, typography usage, and imagery usage. Wherever the brand manifests itself, the ACD needs to be able to consult and guide the work from a creative perspective including packaging, secondary, POP, signage, printed collateral, advertising, social, digital and owned communication channels. The CM will consult with our internal teams and external creative agencies to help manage these work streams.
