Job Summary

We have a strategically located design engineering center in each of the three key regions and full precision mechanical manufacturing capabilities, both in the Americas and Asia. We are seeking a seasoned Attorney to join our Corporate Legal team at our new headquarters in Scottsdale/Tempe AZ area. Our preference is candidates currently residing in this area. Essential Functions and Competencies

•Draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including complex sales, engineering and services agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
•Provide advice on legal issues and risks, deal structures, negotiation strategy and company policies and procedures to all levels of the Company, including Operations, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Business Development.
•Assist in the monitoring of and compliance with federal, state and international laws
•Assist in other general transactional and corporate matters as necessary.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
Serves as a trusted chief legal advisor and supports the Sales and Marketing and Engineering teams. The position reports to the Vice President, General Counsel, but works closely with the Associate General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer. Ensures that relevant legal and regulatory issues are understood and appropriately addressed in the company’s contracts, policies and practices. Support the legal team by identifying and mitigating legal risk to protect Benchmark from undue legal exposure, liability and financial loss. Counsels and facilitates achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
