Background & Purpose of the Job

The ideal candidate will inspire the team with opportunities based on in-depth understanding and appreciation of category trends and brand dynamics and can use that understanding to uncover insights and actions for growth.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Associate CMI Manager will be part of the North America Ice Cream CMI team, and their main responsibility will be to work with their CMI Manager, Marketing Operations and CS&P teams to help grow the portfolio of North American Unilever Ice Cream brands.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the Marketing Operations & CSP teams to address issues and opportunities for growth
  • Partner with the DMC/Digital Hub to drive insight and actions based on media measurement.
  • Collaborate with internal x-functionals (CMI, PDC, Global, etc) to deliver relevant insights
  • Drive insights and bring the voice/needs of the consumer by combining hard data and consumer understanding to inspire the team…drive consumer closeness
  • Work with Circana/IRI, Numerator, Kantar partners on analytical needs to spot growth opportunities, monitor in-market trends competitively, etc
  • Monitor JTBD progress, consult on meaningful KPIs from consumer lens in the brand planning process
  • Support innovation tracking programs for marketing & CS&P customer updates
  • Help scope ad-hoc projects to support strategic pillars in – year (either from survey perspective or other methodologies)
  • Develop/maintain meaningful insights/reporting for the team
  • Provide support for Global CMI on local performance needs/insights
  • Help drive learning culture within IC team, lunch & learns, key debriefs, etc.
  • Support in annual category review and other ad-hoc reviews
  • Partner with CI team to deliver meaningful insights for competitive edge
  • Provide support on data quality issues
  • Work with Kantar to help lead the Brand Power/Equity tracking program

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years of relevant experience in consumer and market insights.
  • Be able to synthesize multiple data sources (i.e tie in past/applicable learnings where applicable for customer sell in)
  • Strong prioritization, planning and execution skills
  • Analytical with strong quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Comfort in working with IRI, Numerator and other available research tools
  • Interpersonal agility:
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Comfort in working in teams as well as autonomously
  • Strong presentation & communication skills
  • Motivated to add value to the team and have zest for learning

Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
